Many of us know how much plastic bags are harming the environment and many cities trying to make a difference have been shut down by the Texas Supreme Court. On July 2, 2018 the Texas Supreme Court recognized that state law forbids cities from imposing their waste management duties and costs on citizens and retailers. “The Texas Supreme Court declared that banning single-use plastic bags is illegal.
So what do we do? Give up? No, a case can be appealed to the Texas Supreme Court directly from the trial court. Anyone want to make this happen or should we let these people allow plastic to rule in Texas forever?
