First Tee Desert Classic planned for October 22

The Rotary Club of West El Paso has joined forces with First Tee – Greater El Paso to host the First Tee Desert Classic, a premier golfing event for all levels of local golfers. Proceeds from this tournament will benefit First Tee – Greater El Paso along with other community projects of the Rotary Club of West El Paso.

The Rotary club of West El Paso was established in 1962 and its members have been actively involved in the El Paso community ever since. Since 2000, this club has donated over $150,000 to various community projects and has been actively involved in promoting quality of life and youth initiatives throughout El Paso for 50 years.  Projects supported over the past year included El Pasoans Fighting Hunger, Bridges to Prosperity, Habitat for Humanity El Paso, El Paso Zoo and Botanical Gardens tree give-a-way program, YWCA Transitional Living Center, Dog Is My CoPilot,  local Boy Scout Troop, Rotary Global Grant in Nepal for Integrative Reproductive Health and COVID support for a Rotary Club in Nepal.

First Tee – Greater El Paso is a national non-profit youth organization where life skills and core values are taught through the game of golf. First Tee – Greater El Paso was established by the World Golf Foundation in 1997 and the First Tee – Greater El Paso became the 207th official chapter when it was formed in April of 2008.   With your participation, we can improve our community as well as provide our youth with a quality program to learn important life skills and core values through The First Tee.
