What happened in Uvalde, Texas where it was obvious that law enforcement was not capable or willing to stop someone killing school children, is a perfect example of a much bigger problem confronting our country in maintaining some kind of safe environment for our nation. Well armed law enforcement were on the scene within minutes of the ruthless slaughter of innocent children and their teachers, but because of their fear of being killed themselves there was no hero willing to risk his or her life to save others.
How can we expect Americans to give up their right to own assault weapons like the one used in Uvalde if they can’t count on law enforcement to be ready to come to the rescue?
